Hey there! If you’ve found yourself here, you already know I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in lovely Lancashire. But here’s a bit more about the person behind the camera!

I’ve been photographing people for over 17 years!

I’m in my 30s now, but my love affair with photography started in my early teens then amplified at 15 when I first got paid for a portrait session. There’s something magical about photographing people that never gets old for me.

I've been in various photography sectors, but nothing compares to the joy I find in capturing real people and real relationships through portrait and wedding photography.

Cowboy Joy

Though I’m fairly certain you’re not supposed to have one, Cowboy Joy is my internal photographer alter ego. This is mostly to do with the duel camera harness I wear.

But I also love the western vibe, so it’s all just a bit of fun and an excuse to buy cowboy hats and shoes.

Self-Love Advocate

My personal Self Love journey has been transformative in my own life and self portraits has been a big tool and aid on this journey for myself. This is something I also want to bring to my clients which is why I offer Self Love portrait sessions and started running Self Love Workshops.

But in the wider scheme of things, I always strive to create an environment where my clients feel confident, celebrated, and authentically themselves.

Life Outside the Lens

Self-pronounced dog mum to Arthur, my handsome Hungarian Vizsla, and I live with my long-time partner. He’s pretty cool too.

Food is life. I adores cooking and savouring delicious meals with family and friends.

I feel most at peace outside, whether it’s for a photography session, a leisurely walk, or simply enjoying a coffee (or wine) in the garden with a book.

And to all my fellow endo warriors, I salute you. It can be tough, right? But we keep moving forward!

Adventures and Hobbies

I’ve travelled abroad quite a bit for both work and play, but these days, I love exploring the UK and occasionally jetting off on new adventures. One of my current hobbies is seeking out Highland Cows to photograph—I’m not kidding! I’ve been known to plan entire trips around finding these fluffy friends.

And there you have it! That’s me in a nutshell—an adventurous spirit with a love of my dog, photography, tattoos, books, travel, and all things delicious.

The last few moments before a photoshoot are when I’m most anxious 😬🫣 I’m usually sitting in my car keeping an eye out for my clients while trying to not stare other strangers down, but ready to jump out to greet my clients so they’re not hanging around for me. Mentally checking I packed all my cameras and gear. Running through my plan for the photoshoot in my head and adapting it to the current weather and any other in the moment factors. But I will say as soon as I get out the car and say hi to the lovely people or person I’m photographing, I get in the swing and all my anxiety goes 💪 Then it’s time to have some fun and capture some great memories 📸 #portraitphotography #portraitphotographer #couplephotography #selflovephotographer

I can’t be the only photographer who does this right?! I’ve been trying really hard to be more efficient with my editing recently. BUT I struggle with trying to make every photo I’m delivering as good as it can be, so I can get caught up in really small tweaks that realistically no one else will notice. NO DAYS OFF HERE ✨ Well ok, that is a lie… I definitely have days off. But like many other portrait and wedding photographers, I don’t have any set days off. It is dependant on a lot of different things and what season we are in. And I will say even on days off, I often do a cheeky little task just to tick something off. Love it when the lads are getting ready at a location near to the bride so I can run down the road for 20 minutes and cover some groom prep! This isn’t always possible, but nice when it is. And if groom prep is impotent to you but I’m not able to cover both, you can always choose to add a second shooter 📸
